MICHAEL McQUAY PRESIDENT, BOMBARDIER AIRCRAFT SERVICES Michael McQuay brings more than three decades of aviation experience to his role as president of Bombardier Aircraft Services. He also brings with him an approach to business that focuses not only on operating performance, but also on ensuring that everyone in the organization places the customer at the center of everything they do. He has integrated this philosophy into every position he has ever had. Mr. McQuay began his career at Continental Airlines, working his way through the ranks for 25 years. He served as vice-president of customer service and sales support, vice-president worldwide maintenance operations, as well as president Continental Air Micronesia and vice-president hub operations. Mr. McQuay also served as executive vice-president and chief operating officer of Hawaiian Airlines. Prior to joining Bombardier, McQuay held the position of chief executive officer and managing director of Air Pacific Limited, Fiji's international airline. In May of 2001, McQuay joined Bombardier Flexjet as vice-president of operations and general manager. Since that time, Flexjet has achieved the best operating performance in the history of the company. In May 2003, McQuay assumed leadership of Bombardier Flexjet. In his tenure with the company, he has been instrumental in instituting a number of operational improvements designed to further enhance the level of service that Flexjet owners receive as well as to position the program for growth. In April of 2004, he assumed responsibility for the newly created Bombardier Aircraft Services Unit. In addition to Flexjet and Skyjet, Bombardier's premier service for booking charter jets, this unit includes pilot and technical training for Bombardier Business and Regional aircraft. It also encompasses all aircraft maintenance services, including the Bombardier network of Service Centers. |
