CLEVELAND, August 31, 2016Flexjet LLC, offering travelers access to the world’s most luxurious fleet of private jets, has been recognized by professional services organization Employers Resource Council (ERC) as one of the 2016 NorthCoast 99, Northeast Ohio’s 99 best places to work. This is the 13th year the company has earned this honor. Flexjet also was this year’s Top Scorer among companies with 500 or more employees.

“We are proud to be named one of Northeast Ohio’s 99 best places to work and the Top Scorer among companies with more than 500 employees,” said Michael Silvestro, Flexjet’s Chief Executive Officer. “Flexjet serves a highly sophisticated and discerning clientele of world travelers, and we are committed to exceeding their expectations. Doing so, in a fast-moving and complex business, relies on the efforts of our employees. We are committed to attracting, developing and retaining the industry’s finest workforce.”

Flexjet, which is based in Cleveland, Ohio and employs 1,300 travel professionals, provides an environment that empowers employees to define and develop their own career path, whether it is in the air or in the many critical supporting service and operational roles on the ground. Flexjet offers a safe, progressive, diverse and rewarding workplace with competitive pay and benefits, and the opportunity to contribute to the success of an innovative company that is redefining the standards of a highly competitive industry.

This marks the company’s 13th year being named one of the best places to work in Northeast Ohio. Previously, the company has placed in the NorthCoast 99 as Flight Options. In late 2013, Flight Options’ parent company, Directional Aviation, acquired Flexjet. The two companies were combined and the Cleveland, Ohio headquarters was maintained.

“Our culture is our people and our people are the differentiators,” said Bob Sullivan, Flexjet’s Chief Administrative Officer. “When we hire we look for people who can embrace the customer service side of our business and live by our three fundamental principles: Employees are the foundation of a service organization; fanatical attention to detail; and we ask everyone to make their decisions with long term relationships in mind.”

According to ERC, which has more than 1,100 member organizations, “NorthCoast 99 recognizes great places to work for top performing people that drive results, provide competitive advantages and allow businesses to innovate and grow. Applicants are evaluated based on policies and practices related to the attraction and retention of top performers, as well as data collected from employee surveys.”
