Embraer has won an order valued at $1.4 billion at list prices from Flexjet that includes its recently certified Praetor 500 and 600 jets, a key endorsement for the program at a crucial time. The Brazilian company is depending on a turnaround at its unprofitable business-jet unit with its vanguard commercial plane business in the process of being sold to Boeing.
