FLEXJET SPONSORS COLLECTORS LOUNGE & SPECIAL EXHIBITION AT TEFAF MAASTRICHT

Collecting and appreciating art is a key passion for many Flexjet Owners, so we were delighted to offer them exclusive preview access to The European Fine Art Fair last weekend as they flew to Maastricht, including access to the Flexjet-sponsored TEFAF Collectors Lounge and private hosted dinners in the city.
The annual art, antiques and design fair is organised by The European Fine Art Foundation in the MECC in Maastricht, Netherlands, and was first held in 1988. The event attracts tens of thousands of visitors, with special Collectors Preview access on the Friday and Saturday morning, on an invitation-only basis.
This year marked the first time TEFAF Maastricht has offered a dedicated lounge for VIP guests to escape the crowds or hold meetings, and we were proud to support that. As sponsors of the Collectors Lounge, our Flexjet team warmly welcomed Owners and other guests into the relaxing space to enjoy Red Label-style hospitality.
A special aviation-inspired exhibition
Looking to highlight the enduring connections between aviation and art, we were also delighted to support and host an intimate exhibition of works in the lounge by JCJ Vanderheyden (1928 – 2012). The artworks from his ‘Horizon’ series were brought together by BorzoGallery and a private collector, with some not previously seen in public for many years.
The unconventional Dutch artist liked to travel and particularly loved to fly. He was struck by the blue of the sky and the white of the snow and clouds, with the view of the earth from above evoking another dimension of time and space. The horizon as the outermost limit of our perception fascinated JCJ Vanderheyden as an artist.
Owners enjoy further preview access at Masterpiece London
Unusually this year, another of Europe’s most prestigious art fairs took place immediately after TEFAF. Masterpiece London showcases a juxtaposition of art and design from all periods and origins and, with Flexjet as an Associate Sponsor, our Owners were able to enjoy Preview Day access on June 29th.
Based in The Royal Hospital, Chelsea, exhibitors at Masterpiece span every major market discipline with new and established collectors able to discover exceptional works for sale.
