FLEXJET’S EUROPEAN OWNERS ENJOY A SPECIAL TASTE OF SCOTTISH HOSPITALITY

Owners and special guests experienced a taste of Scottish hospitality at its finest last month, with our European Flexjet team hosting an exclusive Red Label event in stunning Aberdeenshire. 

The venue was The Fife Arms in Braemar, a spectacular 5-star boutique hotel with royal ties, close to Balmoral and famous for the annual Braemar Gathering (or Highland Games). Originally a 19th century Victorian coaching inn, the hotel has been painstakingly remodelled by its current owners, Iwan and Manuela Wirth, co-Presidents of the international gallery Hauser & Wirth.  

Surrounded by the picturesque landscape of the Cairngorms and Scottish Highlands, Owners and guests were invited to enjoy some traditional outdoor experiences, including a shoot supported by Holland & Holland. The prestigious gunmaker and British royal warrant holder has been established since 1835 and known for its finest handmade shotguns.

In addition to the shoot, there was the opportunity to enjoy guided walks in the local landscape with its stunning moors and mountain views, and to explore the extensive array of curated art that is central to the Fife Arms experience, with thousands of pieces on display by both Scottish and internationally renowned artists. 

Guests were piped into dinner, to relive the day’s activities while enjoying a seasonal menu of world-famous Scottish game and produce, paired with carefully chosen wines. After dinner there was a chance to enjoy a wee dram, from an extensive collection of the finest Scottish single malts. When it was time to retire, the hotel’s comfortable and luxurious bedrooms and suites were waiting, each uniquely designed with antiques, art and thoughtful touches reflecting the local history and landscape.

After such a memorable Scottish escape, came the smoothest of journeys home. The closest airport to the venue is Aberdeen, with Owners flying in and out on our Flexjet European fleet, including the midsize Legacy 500 and super-midsize Praetor 600.
