FOCUS ON PRIVATE JET TRAVEL TO TEL AVIV

March 25, 2022

While Israel is a small country in terms of population (fewer people live there than in London), the city of Tel Aviv has a growing appeal as a private jet destination, with an increasing number of our Flexjet Owners choosing to travel there.

Cultural and astute, Tel Aviv is nestled on the shores of the Mediterranean, giving it a dual appeal as both a business destination and a luxury beach escape. It is a city where nightlife, business, cuisine, and history blend, in a unique and vibrant way.

Bustling metropolis & economic centre

As the economic centre of Israel – and indeed the largest economy per capita in the Middle East – Tel Aviv is home to most of Israel’s institutions and international embassies. The city is the focus for a significant concentration of the country’s wealth and offers a dynamic environment for entrepreneurs. One key sector is technology, with several of the world’s tech giants based here, along with numerous, high growth startups.

Real estate is another economic driver, with significant property price increases in recent years and a range of options for investors and property owners – from ultra-modern high rises to grade-listed historic buildings and private residences.

Party city & vegan capital

But it’s certainly not all work and no play: There’s no shortage of lifestyle opportunities for Tel Aviv’s residents or its increasing numbers of tourists. There are 13 stunning beaches, on which to take advantage of 300+ days of sunshine, and a feast of sights and sounds.

A lively nightlife scene offers a 24-hour culture, featuring exclusive members’ clubs and destination bars. Recent years have also seen the emergence of a growing foodie culture, with world-class, innovative restaurants highlighting some of Israel’s incredible local produce, often sourced from Tel Aviv’s famous bustling markets, including Shuk HaCarmel and Levinsky Market.

In fact, there is arguably no better place in the world to eat plant-based cuisine, with the city now a global vegan destination in its own right. Healthy living figures highly here in every respect, with a major wellness movement and endless opportunities to be active.

Tel Aviv is also known for its 1920s and 1930s Bauhaus architecture, especially in the White City district, many of which are home to some of the city’s top homes, restaurants, and places to stay. This includes the exquisite five-star Norman Hotel, housed across two restored buildings and with a rooftop infinity pool and penthouse.

Private aviation in Tel Aviv

With Israel and Tel Aviv an important and growing market for private aviation, the Flexjet team recently took part in the industry event TLV Business Aviation Conference 2022. It was a fantastic opportunity to talk to event visitors about our expansion in EMEA; to showcase one of our Flexjet Praetor 600s at the aircraft display; and to have our European Managing Director Marine Eugène speak about the shared ownership market in Israel.

The busiest private jet airport in Israel, Ben Gurion Airport (LLBG), is located 20km to the southeast of Tel Aviv and close to the smaller city of Lod. It is also the primary airport for visitors to Jerusalem, 45km further away to the south. The airport’s VIP Fattal Terminal provides dedicated amenities for private aviation passengers.

Our Flexjet European fleet, including the midsize Legacy 500 and super-midsize Praetor 600, offers an exceptional way to reach Tel Aviv. To discover more about our premium aircraft and programmes, contact our team via the form below or call us on +44 (0) 203 856 8151.
