OUR TOP FIVE EUROPEAN DESTINATIONS IN 2021

March 1, 2022

With Flexjet, our Owners fly wherever and whenever, on their own terms.

Every year our European Flexjet fleet moves between hundreds of destinations around the world, from mountain airfields to Mediterranean island runways, and international city hubs.

But where do we fly most frequently? Here we reveal our top destinations in 2021, and what makes each a hotspot for our Owners.

1) London, UK

At the very top of the list is London – dynamic, iconic and multicultural, it’s where so many of our Owners have homes and business interests and a key, year-round gateway between Europe and the rest of the world.

As the busiest city for private jets in Europe, London offers a variety of airports in different parts of the capital. Cream of the crop is London Farnborough (EGLF), sharing our ethos for exceptional service and style. Situated to the southwest, the journey time to the city centre can be reduced to just 15 minutes with a point-to-point, seamless helicopter transfer from Battersea.

2) Nice, France

An enduring favourite with Flexjet Owners, the Cote d’Azur exudes timeless elegance and style. The whole French Riviera – including St Tropez, Cannes, Monaco as well as Nice – is popular year-round but particularly so from May onwards, when prestigious events such as the Cannes Film Festival and Monaco Grand Prix attract VIPs and high-profile visitors from all over the globe.

Nice Cote d’Azur Airport (LFMN) is the area’s busiest airport and offers the bonus of one of the most spectacular airport approaches in Europe – earning its name with sweeping views of the coastline as you come into land. Many Owners also fly to Cannes Mandelieu (LFMD), a smaller airport dedicated to private aviation and offering seamless connections to the whole area.

3) Dublin, Ireland

Dublin’s appeal as a tourist destination is well-known but the Irish capital is also one of Europe’s fastest growing economies, home to the European headquarters of a growing number of corporates in a variety of sectors, including tech, pharma and financial services.

Dublin Airport (EIDW) offers a warm welcome to the growing number of Flexjet Owners flying in and out of the city, with a 24-hour private terminal.

4) Zurich, Switzerland

The driving force behind Switzerland’s strong economy, Zurich is home to a variety of thriving businesses in a wide range of industries – including a pivotal centre for banking and finance in Europe. It is a cosmopolitan and dynamic city, drawing international visitors from all over the world, including those heading to ski resorts such as Klosters and Zermatt in the winter months.

Flexjet Owners fly in and out via Zurich Kloten Airport (LSZH), which is just 10km north of the city and offers a choice of 24-hour FBO facilities for passengers and crew.

5) Geneva, Switzerland

Close to Switzerland’s border with France, Geneva is a year-round hotspot for private aviation with a wealth of attractions for both business and leisure. Home to the United Nations and The Red Cross, the city is also the base for a significant number of global businesses and diplomatic organisations. Geneva’s popularity peaks in the ski season with travellers heading to the Swiss and French Alps.

Geneva Airport (LSGG), also known as Geneva Cointrin, is situated 4km to the northwest of the city. The airport’s runway begins in Switzerland but ends in France, meaning that the airport can be accessed from both countries.
